TOP FIVE BOOK SERIES I WANT TO START THIS YEAR!

Hey Guys,
Today I want to show you the top five book series I would like to start this year and maybe even finish. I love reading series, because you can really get to know the characters and there are so many awesome series out there that I would like to start 100, but that would be so not realistic haha. So here we go.

1. The Companion trilogy (Anna, Lola, Isla) by Stephanie Perkins. So many people love and recommend this series and I really want to get to it this year, especially right now because I really want to read some contemporary for a while. And I think this will actually happen very soon.

2. The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. This fantasy trilogy sounds so so good and I really can not wait to start it!

3. The Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken. I really need to read this soon, the covers are amazing, everyone loves it and I just really want and need to haha.

4. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson, THIS BOOK is ON TOP of my to buy list, it sounds so freaking good and aaagh I can NOT wait!!!

and lastly : The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.. yes I have not read this series.. I know! I really really want to, because I just feel like I am missing something out. I absolutely adore the movies but I really want to read the books.
And now some other series I really want to start soon:
– These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
–  Burn for Burn by Jenny Han
– Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
– The Murder Compley by Lindsay Cummings
– The Young Elites by Marie Lu
– Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
– The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons

TOP FIVE BOOK SERIES I WANT TO FINISH THIS YEAR!

Hey Guys,
I thought it would be fun to do this top five “tag”? I don’t really know what to call it, but whatever. I want to do this because at the end of 2015 I will look back at this “tag” and can tell you how many of them I really finished. If you want to, you can totally do this aswell and if you do tell me in the comments x
1. The “Maze Runner” trilogy by James Dashner. I have already read the first two books in this trilogy and enjoyed them, but I think I am going to read the third book at the end of the year, so it will still be kind of fresh in my mind when the third movie comes out. I am definitely excited for the Scorch Trials movie and to see the cast of the new characters.

2. The “Slammed” trilogy by Colleen Hoover. I loved the first book Slammed in this trilogy so much and funny fact in this book Poetry Slam plays a big role and I actually had this topic in school and LOVED it, I really want to see some live. I also liked Point of Retreat but not as much as the first one , so I am pretty excited to read the last one.

3. The “The Mortal Instruments” series by Cassandra Clare. I have NO idea why I haven’t read the last book yet, but I will very soon either in February or March and I am so excited. I am actually thinking about rereading the whole series before starting City of heavenly Fire..we will see.

4. The “The immortal rules” trilogy by Julie Kagawa, I LOVED the first two books so so much, the main character was so kickbutt and so far it has been action packed and just so much fun! I really can’t wait to read the last book but actually have to wait until the third book comes out in the edition I own the others in..

5. The “to all the boys I’ve loved before” duology by Jenny Han. I love the first book so so much haha. It was so much fun and so cute and I could totally relate to Lara Jean ( although she was kind of annoying at the end). The second and last book comes out in May this year and I am so so excited to see the cover and just read it!

And nooow some other series I would like to finish, that did not make it into my top five:
– The Program duology by Suzanne Young.
– The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor.
– The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

CURRENTLY READING!

Hey Guys,
I haven’t posted in a while, because of school..obviously. And I am sorry but ugh I don’t really have an explanation. So many things are happening this year ( I want to get my driver license, travel a bit, make up my mind about school ) and I have to plan so many things for next year and what I want to do after school, because I have no idea! Going to a University or not, noo idea. I really want to do a publishing internship this year to see if this would be something for me, but the problem is there are no publishers in my town, I would have to drive 2 hours with the train and my mom is not too happy about that… so yea, I don’t know what to do haha. To Update you guys I will to do a “Currently Reading”, so here it comes.

I am currently reading Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas and I am on page 354 and let me tell you guys, I AM IN LOVE! I read Throne of Glass in December and absolutely loved it, so I had to read Crown of Midight as fast as possible. I already know that this series will be one of my fav ones because ugh I don’t have words…SO GOOD! I love Celaena as protagonist so much, she is kickbutt, funny, cool, kind of in love with herself and she is a booklover! And oh man the boys.. Chaol Westfall and Dorian Havilliard. I know that so many love Chaol and don’t get me wrong I like him, he is cute and nice and everything but he isn’t Dorian. I love how Dorian and Celaena interact with each other, always funny! If you want more information about it, take a look at my goodreads reading updates. If you haven’t started this series yet, you HAVE to. I will order Heir of Fire pretty soon, I’m sure of it!
After Crown of Midnight I will probably read I am Malala or not haha..because I will order some books next week and yea, idk, if you have the choice between a non-fiction which I guess will be interesting and between a fantasy for example or the last book in a series, which one will you choose? I know which option I would choose, so yea we will see. Tell me what you are reading or want to pick up soon!

GOODREADS TAG!

Hey Guys,
Yes, another TAG! I just love doing them and love watching/reading them, because I can include every book I want so you can see what I have read so far! This time it is the Goodreads TAG and I LOVE GOODREADS, I love to barcode scan my books and update my reading progress .. it is just an awesome internet platform for readers to talk to each others and stuff.
As always if you did this TAG/want to do it feel free to comment down below:-)!

1. What was the last book you marked as ‘read’?
Maria Stuart, which I read for school and surprisingly really enjoyed it.
2. What are you currently reading?
The Scorch Trials by James Dashner..but I am only 8 pages into it haha.
3. What was the last book you marked as ‘TBR’?
Survive the Night by Danielle Vega, I read The Merciless by her and really really enjoyed it and this book comes out sometime this year and I was hoping that maybe the characters frome the first book will appear in this book aswel..so yeah.
4. What book do you plan to read next?
I am Malala or Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas..probably Crown of Midnight because I need Dorian.
5. Do you use the star rating system?
Yes I do and I love rating my books but sometimes it is kind of hard because there are no half stars.
6. Are you doing a 2015 Reading Challenge?
Yes I will, I already did a 2014 Challenge which was to read 45 books and I actually read 49. So for this year I also did 45 books as my goal. But it could happen that I change it throughout the year.
7. Do you have a wishlist?
My TBR shelf is kind of my wishlist.
8. What book do you plan to buy next?
P.S. I still love you by Jenny Han, The One by Kiera Cass or City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.

I have a lot, but you can take a look at my goodreads page and read a few..I love liking quotes from the books I read.
10. Who are your favorite authors?

11. Have you joined any groups?
Yes I am in the ” My true Love gave to me Readalong ” group and also in the ” BOOKSPLOSION Book of the month ” group.
12. Are there any questions you would like to add?
I thought there was a question sth. like : What would you like to change about goodreads, so I will answer this: I would like to have the chance to rate my books with half stars and I hate that if you are looking for a book but do not know the EXACT title that goodreads does NOT find it, you literally have to know every single letter and how it is written and bla and yes.. I do not like that.

I hope you enjoyed this TAG and I will see you the next time.

2014 READING TAG!

Hey Guys,
I originally wanted to a Top 14 of 2014, but because everyone does that I thought why not do this fun TAG. As always if you want to do this TAG or already did it comment down below. I saw this TAG on Victoria Maries youtube channel!

1: What was your favorite book published in 2014 (Remember, for all of these questions, more than one answer is okay)
Because I have to choose books which were published 2014 there actually are not that many..
– To all the boys I’ve loved before-Jenny Han
– The Merciless-Danielle Vega
2: Pick a book you read this year that had great characterization.
Ignite me by Tahereh Mafi and Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
3: Speaking of characters, Who is your favorite character from the books you’ve read this year?
Easy..Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass, or Allison from the Blood of Eden trilogy by Julie Kagawa.
4: Who is your least favorite character from the books you’ve read this year?
Aspen from the Selection trilogy..( I have not read The One by Kiera Cass, only the first two books )
5: Pick a book you read this year that had a shocking plot twist.
We were liars by E. Lockhart and The Merciless by Danielle Vega ( this book really makes you question who the good and who the bad one is )
6: Name a great author (or multiple authors) you discovered this year.
Jenny Han, Sarah J. Maas, Danielle Vega, Michelle Hodkin, David Levithan
7: What book that was really hyped up in 2014 do you think met the hype?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas .. SO SO SO GOOD! Because this question does not exist in this TAG I am answering it nonetheless because I really want to : What book that was really hyped up in 2014 do you think did not meet the hype ? Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell.. I enjoyed this book but it just was not as good as everyone said.
8: Did you see any book to movie adaptations this year, if so, what was your favorite (the movie did not have to be released in 2014)
I saw TFIOS, Divergent, Maze Runner and Mockingjay part 1 and my fav one was Mockingjay part 1.
9: What book made you cry the most?
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare..it was horrible but beautiful.
10: What is the funniest book you read this year?
I dont really read funny books.. idk haha.
11: Did you set a reading goal for yourself? if so, did you meet it, and how many books did you read this year in total.
My reading goal was to read 45 books and I have read 49, so I am pretty happy with my reading of 2014.
12: Were you satisfied with 2014 as a reading year?
Definitely, there were moments where I really was not in the mood but I am happy that I still met my reading goal.
13: What are you planning to do differently or better as a reader in 2015?
Honestly nothing, I do not want to be under pressure.
14: What is the best book you read this year? (Or pick multiple books if you can’t choose just one)

Maas, The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare.

I hope you enjoyed this TAG and I wish you all a great day.

DECEMBER WRAP UP!

Hey Guys,
I know I have never done a Wrap up so far, but I love watching them on youtube so I thought, maybe I could try and do it on my blog. We will see how this works out, but I hope you enjoy! This month I finished six books and I am currently reading a classic for school, but I think I can finish it today..well I hope so.
The first book I finished this  month was Legend, which I really really enjoyed. I gave this book 4/5 STARS. After that I started Prodigy, which I gave 5/5 STARS and I then read Champion also by Marie Lu, which I also gave 5/5 STARS. In December I started and finished the Legend trilogy and I really enjoyed it, it had great characters and a really interesting plot. However there are 2 things that kind of bothered me..first of I thought, that in Legend there was kind of insta love, which I did not like. And the second thing was that Day sometimes really annoyed me and that Day and June were pretty young for what they have accomplished and done. But I still recommend it to you, a great dystopian!
I then picked up Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle and I gave this book 4/5 STARS. Let it Snow consists of three short storys and surprisingly the story by John Green was not my fav one. My fav short story was the one by Maureen Johnson, I really loved her writing! I picked this book up to get in the christmas mood and it definitely did this for me.
The next book I picked up was Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and I LOVED it soooo much! So obviously I gave this book 5/5 STARS. This book was so freaking good, seriously! I LOVED the writing, the main character and the two love interests. The main character Celaena is not only an assassin, but also witty, funny, sarcastic, a book lover and just ugh so awesome! I love that we do not only get Celaenas POV, but also for example Dorians, Chaols, the kings and some more. And the guys..oh man. They are both SO gorgeous, seriously. But right now, I have to say I am TEAM DORIAN. I can NOT wait to pick up the second and third book!
The last book I finished this month was My true Love gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins and written by a bunch of different authors. This book consists of 12 short storys and all in all I gave this book 3,5/5 STARS. There were some storys I really enjoyed but also some I did not. My fav ones were the ones by Stephanie Perkins and Rainbow Rowell.. I really need to read some books by them. The things I do not like about shot storys is that well.. they are so short that sometimes background information is missing. But to show you why I gave this book only 3,5 STARS, here are my individual ratings:
Midnights-Rainbow Rowell: 4,5/5 STARS
The Lady and the Fox-Kelly Link: 3,5 STARS (maybe 4, I am still not sure..)
Angels in the snow-Matt de la Pena: 4 STARS.
Polaris is where you will find me-Jenny Han: 3,5/4 STARS
It is a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown-Stephanie Perkins: 4,5/5 STARS
Your temporary Santa-David Levithan: 3,5 STARS
Krampuslauf-Holly Black: 3/3,5 STARS
What the hell have you done, Sophie Roth-Gayle Forman: 3,5 STARS
Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus-Myra McEntire: 4 STARS
Welcome to Christmas,CA-Kiersten White: 4 STARS
Star of Bethlehem-Ally Carter: 3,5 STARS
The Girl who woke the Dreamer-Laini Taylor: 3/3,5 STARS
And now to the book I am currently reading. I started Maria Stuart yesterday and I have to finish it until January 7th. But I hope I can finish it today, because it is not that long. But the thing about classics is that I really do not like reading them and I think this is because I only read them if it is for school, but oh well. That was my December Wrap up, tell me what books you have read in this month or what your fav book of the month was.
– Happy New Year, Laura!xoxo

I saw this one on youtube ( again.. ) on Kassidy Voinches channel, I love her videos, so check them out!

1. A Partridge in a pear tree: Favorite Stand-Alone Book?
I could choose the obvi one TFIOS .. but I am going to choose Wonder by R.J. Palacio .. or A monster calls by Patrick Ness, both are beautifully written books.
2. Two Turtle Doves: Fictional OTP/Favorite Ship?
God..that is hard. But because I just finished the book I am choosing Dorian and Celaena from Throne of Glass ( keep in mind I have just read the first book in this series and this maybe will change because I also like Chaol..but for now it is Dorian).
3.Three French Hens: Favorite Trilogy?
Okay..I will name a few, but obvi only ones I have finished..so here we go: The Shatter me trilogy, Hunger Games, Infernal Devices, Legend.
4. Four Calling Birds: Favorite Fictional Beast/Creature?
I am not sure this is how you are supposed to answer this question but I am just going with Simon from the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare without spoiling anything.
5. Five Golden Rings: Show 5 Golden Books
I don’t have ONE golden book..
6. Six Geese a Laying: Rotten egg- What’s your least favorite book?

I don’t think I have to show it .. Allegiant by Veronica Roth.

Everyone..well most people would say something from Harry Potter, but I haven’t read the books so I really don’t know.
9. Nine Ladies Dancing: Favorite dance between two characters?
Easy! The dance between Celaena and Dorian in Throne of Glass, I LOVED IT.
10. Ten Lords a Leaping: Favorite Book-To-Movie-Adaptation?
Okay..Divergent and TFIOS were both AWESOME, but I think I have to go with Catching Fire and Mockingjay part 1, I ADORED THOSE.
11. Eleven Pipers Piping: Favorite Book-To-Movie-Adaptation Soundtrack?
Hmm, I think the one from the Fifty Shades of Grey Trailer or from Mockingjay part 1.
12. Twelve Drummers Drumming: It’s the end of the song; what’s your favorite book ending?
Uuh, I LOVED the ending from the Shatter me trilogy, from the Legend trilogy and from the Pivot Point duology.

I hope you are all having an awesome day with much snow and chocolate.
-Laura xoxo

THE GRINCH BOOK TAG!

Hey Guys,
As I mentioned in my last christmassy blogpost this post will be another christmassy book TAG. I love the movie The Grinch, so this TAG is PERFECT. I saw this on Victoria Maries channel and you should check it out. I hope you enjoy and if you do this TAG aswell or already have done it, comment down below. I would love to see how you answered.

1. Half of the lights on the Christmas tree are burnt out : Name a book/series/character that started out good but then went downhill
Well..the obvious choice would be the Divergent trilogy but I am choosing the Mara Dyer Trilogy! BUT I have to say, I LOVED the first and second book so so so much and I still liked the third book, but it was just idk kind of meeh in comparison to the first two books.
2. Annoying Great Aunt Sally who will not leave you alone : Name a book that you didn’t enjoy, but everyone else seems to love so it never goes away.
Where things come back by John Corey Whaley, so so many people LOVE this book but I just do not understand. The book was so weird and boring and ugh I did NOT enjoy it.
3. Your pets keep knocking over the Christmas decoration : Name a character that kept messing things up for everyone else (can’t pick a villain!)
Caleb from the Divergent trilogy, obvious choice but I just don’t know anyone else right now, so yeah deal with it.
4. You hear your parents putting out the presents and learn Santa isn’t real: Name a book you were spoiled for
Allegiant by Veronica Roth, I have the feeling this TAG will be all about the Divergent books, but it is true. And it is the ONLY book I was spoiled for. And I think it kind of ruined the book for me, but that is not the only reason why I did not enjoy Allegiant..okay this is turning into a revies, let’s move on.
5. It’s freezing outside: Name a main character you just couldn’t connect with
The main characters from Why we broke up, I do not even remember her name haha but this story.. idk I really wanted to like it, but it was just meeh. I did not really care that much.
6. Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ and it’s giving you anti-romantic feelings : Name a couple you couldn’t stand
Honestly I don’t have one..
7. That scratchy homemade wool sweater you got for Christmas years ago but won’t get rid of : show some books that have been sitting on your shelves for a while, and you aren’t motivated to read, but you don’t have the heart to get rid of
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, I want to keep the book because it is so pretty but I only got 120 pages into it and really don’t want to read it anymore..
8. Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer: Name a character death you still are mad about (warn people for spoilers! You can also use TV or movie deaths)
SPOILER , SPOILER , SPOILER , SPOILER
Day’s mom and brother
SPOILER ENDS
9. The malls are overly crowded with holiday shoppers: Name a series that has too many books in it/went on too long
The mortal instruments .. I still haven’t read the last book but I LOVED the third book City of Glass. I mean I really like this series, but so many books ugh.
10. The Grinch : Name a main character you HATE (No villians again!)
Oh god..HATE is such a big word. Maybe the mother from the main characters from We were liars by E. Lockhart..yes I forgot the name shush. I don’t really remember why I hated her but I remember really not liking her, so yeah..
