BEACH HERE I COME !

In the next 3 weeks there will be no blogpost, because I am away wuhu. I am going to the beach with my family und friends for 3 weeks and when I am back, I will be doing a SUMMER READ Wrap up .. probably! But for now I am going to tell you, what I want to read in these 3 weeks 🙂

1. I wanna finish the evolution of mara dyer by Michelle Hodkin
2. Since youve been gone by Morgan Matson
3. The Merciless by Danielle Vega
4. The immortal rules by Julie Kagawa

I actually do not think that I can finish all of them, because my friends are coming, my birthday is in these 3 weeks and I will go swimming and bla bla bla. But we will see and I hope you all have an awesome summer !

THE BOOK BURGER TAG

In todays blogpost, we’re building a burger made of books.

First we need the bottom bap (bun). Choose the first book in a series you loved.
-For this one I am choosing ” Pivot Point ” by Kasie West, I loved the book and really want to read the second one.

Now we need the burger meat. Choose a meaty (thick) book that you’ve read and enjoyed.
– I choose ” City of lost souls ” by Cassandra Clare, I still need to read ” City of heavenly fire ” and I can not wait!

Next we add a thin slice of cheese and lettuce. Choose two thin books: one you’ve read and enjoyed and one you want to read but haven’t yet. (200 pages or less)
– For the one I have read and enjoyed I am choosing ” Emilia Galotti ” by Lessing
and for the one I want to read I choose ” We were liars ” by E. Lockhart

Time for a nicely sliced tomato. Choose an average sized book you loved or one you hated. (Between 200 and 400 pages)
-For this one I am choosing ” to all the boys I’ve loved before ” by Jenny Han ! I LOVED IT !

Now you add a sauce that you’ve never tried before and you don’t know if you’ll love it or hate it. Choose a book that you thought you’d love but hated, or a book you thought you’d hate but loved.
– I chose ” Where things come back ” by John Corey Whaley, I really thought I would love it but unfortunately I didn’t. 

And finally we need that bap (bun) on top to complete our burger. Choose the last book in a series you are dreading the release of/were dreading the release of because you don’t want the series to end.
– I am choosing ” City of heavenly fire “, I just don’t want it to end but I want to read it. The struggle!

REVIEW : THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER

                                                 

 

I wanted to read this book for so long, mostly because of the cover, because it is just so stunning. Well, I now have read it and finished it like..today! This book is about Mara Dyer, who recently suffered an traumatic “accident”  that left her family worried and Mara questioning her sanity. Mara does not want to be hospitalized for treatment and convinces her family that moving would help her. So they end up moving from Rhode Island to Miami. Mara thought that her problems would stay back in Rhode Island, with a new start in Florida, but her issues would follow her no matter where she went.
She has no memorys from the “accident”, in which her boyfriend Jude, best friend Rachel and other “friend” Claire did not come out alive. She also has no idea of why she was in an abandoned mental asylum before the tragedy occurred. Now Mara tries to ‘fix herself’  and because of a few things that happen, her memories start to come back and pieces start to reconnect.
I absolutely loved this book and the characters! Mara was an awesome protagonist, she was sensible but also kind of sassy ? She was a very real character, who you can connect with. She has her issues and problems to deal with, like everyone of us has. And what can I say about Noah Shaw ? First he was this typical “bad boy” you could say, he was the guy every girl wanted but could not have. He was smart, confident, funny and cocky…everything we love. But he also was a big support for Mara and was gentle when she needed that. I loved him from the first sentences he spoke. And I am totally in love with their conversations.
I really liked that Maras family was involved, in so many YA novels, the parents are out often or working the whole day. But not in this novel, the family played a big role, which I really enjoyed and I also really liked the Brother-Sister relationship between Mara and Daniel.

I am so excited for the 3rd book in this trilogy ( the retribution of mara dyer,which comes out in November 2014 ), because I already started the 2nd book “the evolution of mara dyer” and wow, I LOVE IT SO FAR !
* I give the unbecoming of mara dyer five out of five stars..obviously *

WHAT I AM CURRENTLY READING

                                                 

I got The unbecoming of mara dyer by Michelle Hodkin in the post today and immediately started to read. I also got the sequel The evolution of mara dyer. So I started reading the first book today and I am on page 208 right now and really liking it so far. Well, Noah Shaw is like everyone says, he is just Noah Shaw and I want him. My birthday is in 13 days, soo ? Just kidding, ok maybe not but whatever 😀
I also really like Mara as Protagonist, because she is so idk sassy ? I really like her personality and humor, but I also feel kind of weird because I can relate to her, kind of. In some ways. So maybe I need to go to the doctor but yeah. I will be away for the weekend and will bring this book with me, probably gonna finish this. Maybe I will write a review, whem I am back 🙂 I hope you all have a great weekend !
